"The whole story"
After 10 years as a mechanical engineer, I felt a desire for change.
Being a musician from the very beginning, guitar making naturally came to me.
After a one-year training in cabinetmaking/marquetry and various internships with French luthiers, I came to Quebec to complete a 3-year training course in acoustic guitar making at the Quebec School of Arts and Crafts.
At the same time, I gained solid experience in repair and adjustment within various Quebec establishments.
Having fallen in love with Quebec, it was only natural that I set up my workshop in this beautiful province.

"Between art and science"
Regarding the artistic approach, I appreciate generous, vibrant, responsive guitars with a recognizable signature design (off-center heel, two-tone headstock veneer, signature bridge, etc.) and careful decoration.
I place great importance on the choice of woods, the contrast and complementarity of colors, but also on the design with modern curves and a range of guitars that can satisfy different types of playing, from fingerpicking to strumming, from rhythm guitarist to soloist.
All materials used in the GB Acoustic workshops are tested during the manufacturing process to ensure maximum performance. The result is balanced guitars that allow each musician to develop their playing skills with an instrument that meets both sonic and ergonomic needs.
Indeed, ergonomics is a key aspect for me and I offer each client the opportunity to be involved in an immersive process with the luthier in order to identify each individual's needs. Thus, after discussion, I would be better able to design an instrument that meets the specific requirements of each musician. (e.g.: scale length, neck/body junction, neck profile, fingerboard profile, nut width, active or passive back, etc.)
